Cross-country skiing on the Wildkogel
An impressive 54 km of perfectly groomed runs of various difficulty levels await you in the Skiarena Wildkogel. This large winter sport region offers tracks for classic technique, skating technique and Nordic cruising. The Wennserrundloipe (4 km) in Bramberg and the section Preimis/Einöd (5 km) in Neukirchen are lighted and ideal for beginners due to their terrain. If you’ve yet to acquire any cross-country skiing experience, we recommend a beginners’ course at one of the regional winter sport schools.
The Pinzga Loipe
Are you up for a slightly longer cross-country skiing tour? Then hit the over 200 km long Pinzga Loipe with a series of high-altitude runs and panoramic sections for a truly special nature and sport experience. Enjoy the grand view of the Hohe Tauern National Park during your tour through the Salzachtal and encounter all sorts of fun challenges. Ride back to your starting point afterwards with the local railway Pinzgauer Lokalbahn running between Krimml and Zell am See.
